General description
Sectional tilting doors of commercial and industrial types, they constitute a perfect marriage between aluminum and steel to offer you unrivaled solidity and harmony. In addition, the AL-175 Hybrid model opens the door to almost infinite possibilities in terms of glazing to offer you unparalleled brightness.
Steel sections
At 44.45 mm (1 3/4") thick, the steel sections feature 0.86 mm (0.034") thick steel reinforcement strips (20 gauge) for installation of the hardware store. In addition, they are designed to allow the application of a thermal seal in EPDM rubber (ethylene, propylene, diene and monomer) preventing the conductivity of heat or cold. The ends are made of galvanized steel of 1.63 mm (0.064") thick (16 gauge). The panels are made of anti-corrosive galvanized steel sheets that feature stamped grain patterns. The sections are manufactured using a continuous rolling process with a polyurethane core creating a homogeneous set of layers (metal/foam/metal). The nominal thickness is 1 3/4", the most used panels are the Urbania, Urbainia MR, Contemporary, Grooved, MAC-175-S and MAC-175-A models. For panels refer to associated models.
The core is made of rigid polyurethane insulation molded in situ without CFC which does not harm the environment. It is also encapsulated by non-permeable materials to prevent any heat loss. The insulation has certified thermal resistance in accordance with ASTM C236-89. In order to limit air infiltration as much as possible, the intermediate crossbars and the lower crossbar are fitted with interchangeable EPDM rubber weather stripping.
For aluminum sections, refer to AL-175 models.
Standard Finishes
The standard finish is commercial anodized aluminum which is soft and clear and meets 204-ri specifications, white or black.
Options
Glazing
The glazing is placed in a rigid vinyl staple molding. The total thickness of single glass is 3 mm (1/8"), while that of thermos type glass (double) is 22 mm (7/8"). It should be noted that the glass can be replaced by acrylic or polycarbonate in different shades (consult our charter).
Special finishes
To allow a perfect match with the different architectural elements, finishes in different colors are also offered (consult our charter).
Exhaust pipe
Available with a diameter of 101 mm (4") and 127 mm (5").
Tips
Also available on request in a width of 150 mm (6") for components less than 5,029 mm (16' 6").
Wind load
Door construction meets wind loading requirements in accordance with ASTM-E-330.
Air infiltration
The air infiltration rate is limited to 0.038 liters/sec/ft2 at 24 km/h and 0.062 liters/sec/ft2 at 40 km (ASTM-E-283-84 test).
Compliance with standards
All doors comply with ANSI 102 and ASTM-E-330 standards.
Guarantee
For model AL-175-Hybrid Portes Mackie inc. offer a ten-year limited warranty against any risk of delamination of foam and steel, as well as a one-year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
